Brief Biography:
During her time as an undergraduate and graduate student at Central
Michigan, Eileen LeTarte has garnered a great deal of experience in various
areas within the broadcasting realm.
She served as a news reporter for WCMU, earning a Michigan Association of
Broadcasters Professional Merit Award for her five-part series on "The
Status of Women in Michigan". In addition, she spent two years on the
student-run radio station executive staff (WMHW-FM), serving as the news
director, music director and summer program director during that time.
Also during her undergraduate years, she served as an audio production
intern with the Citadel Broadcasting Group in Saginaw, Mich.
LeTarte Graduated from CMU in 2006 with honors, including the complete
production of an original radio drama that earned several awards from the
College Broadcasters, Inc., the National Broadcasting Society and MAB.
After earning her bachelor's degree, LeTarte worked as an on-air intern at
WBTI in Port Huron, Mich., before returning to CMU and earning her master's
degree in 2009. During that time she served as an audio graduate assistant, in
charge of overseeing the school's record label, Moore Media Records.
While in graduate school, LeTarte worked as an intern at WCFX and is
currently working at the station as a production assistant and on-air
talent. |
